Joanna Flemons specializes in treating women, men and couples struggling with fertility loss/trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which research indicates can result for some. Joanna utilizes compassion, trauma education and client’s strengths/drives/hopes/boundaries to assist in developing a customized and compassionate individual therapeutic plan.
In addition to offering traditional therapy, Joanna also offers trauma-informed therapy with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to those who are interested. EMDR is an evidenced based therapy that helps to reduce the intensity of trauma symptoms.
Clients can schedule hourly sessions and/or a retreat schedule as well, reserving 4-hour blocks of time to work through traumatic events and obtain clarity for decision making, reorienting to life after traumatic loss and establishing new goals that produce hope, strength and meaning.
Joanna is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and stays current on research and psychological implications and considerations of the fertility journey. She is also an active member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), and stays current with studies and research examining fertility trauma and PTSD.
You don’t have to suffer in silence, or in isolation.
